Carmen takes the tobacco-and-leather mood of Trudon’s Ernesto candle and puts it on skin. Bergamot and a touch of rum lift the opening; tobacco, leather and patchouli give it warmth. It is the one we would choose for someone who likes fragrance with a little edge.

A friend introduced us to Trudon, and we couldn't get over the scents. The house began as a Paris candle shop in 1643 and went on to light Versailles. Its candles are still made in Normandy, poured into hand-shaped Tuscan glass inspired by champagne buckets, with labels placed by hand.
