Champs de Provence Eau de Parfum

This is green and fresh, with a fougere backbone. Rose, jasmine, and orange blossom sit alongside bergamot, orange, and pear, then mate, moss, and musk bring in the damp-earth, cut-grass side. It smells like walking through a field after the dew has burned off.

The story

Every spring, Albert Fouquet left the Riviera for Provence to visit friends who kept a villa there. When one of them was posted to the Philippines, Albert sent a goodbye present he knew they would never forget: the whole Provence countryside, in a bottle.

As Eight & Bob tells it, a young JFK met a Frenchman wearing a scent he had made on the Riviera and later asked for eight bottles for his friends and one for his brother Bob. During World War II, the last shipments were hidden inside hollowed-out books to keep them from the Nazis. We love the scents just as much as the story.
